SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of Irene C. Ricca of Morton, formerly of 
4Bartonville, who passed away on June 8, 2012; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born April 17, 1929, in Peoria to Lawrence 
6P. and Lovdy (Miller) Meyer; she married John S. Ricca in 
7Peoria on August 20, 1949; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, She will be remembered for her sweet smile and her 
10pleasant disposition; she attended Holy Family Church and 
11Blessed Sacrament Church; she was a former member of the St. 
12John's and St. Anthony's Altar and Rosary Society; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband; her 
14parents; and her sisters, Marie Faley, Helen Day, and JoAnn 
15Newcomer; and
  
 
16    WHEREAS, Irene Ricca is survived by her children, Dennis 
17(Judy) Ricca, George (Pat) Ricca, Ginny (Don) Sorensen, Leon 
18(Patty) Ricca, Sue (Larry) Herring, Ed Ricca, Kathy (Scott) 
19Tolson, Sharry (Mike) Mohr, and Ken (Cheryl) Ricca; her 23 
20grandchildren; and her 8 great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with 
3her family and friends, the passing of Irene Ricca; and be it 
4further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Irene Ricca as a symbol of our 
7sincere sympathy.
