2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Lori L. Groetken of Bloomington, who |
4 | | passed away on December 28, 2011; and

5 | | WHEREAS, She was born July 15, 1958, in Bloomington, the |
6 | | daughter of Ken and Char Gunderson Huff; she married Cecil D. |
7 | | Groetken on June 12, 1982, in Bloomington; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, She was a 1976 graduate of Bloomington High |
9 | | School; she worked at Afni for 13 years and was an education |
10 | | manager; she was a member of Lakeside Country Club, |
11 | | Bloomington; she enjoyed golf and was an avid Cubs fan; and
|
12 | | WHEREAS, She founded the Groetken Foundation for |
13 | | Pancreatic Cancer Research; she started an annual golf outing |
14 | | at Lakeside Country Club for the benefit of the Siteman Cancer |
15 | | Center in St. Louis, Missouri; and
|
16 | | WHEREAS, Lori Groetken is survived by her husband, Cecil; |
17 | | her father, Ken (Judy) Huff; her mother, Char Huff; her son, |
18 | | Christopher L. Groetken; her brothers, Steve Huff and Stan |
19 | | (Margie) Huff; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Cyril |
