SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Raymond Dean Stader of Waukegan, who
4passed away on January 20, 2012; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born to George and Adeline (Manning) Stader
6on January 25th, 1928 in Chicago; and
 
7    WHEREAS, He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean
8War; he served in the United States Navy on a minesweeper, the
9USS Ptarmigan, Pacific Fleet, and later as a court reporter for
10the CompServePac Staff of the Navy; after discharge, he
11returned to Chicago, where he was a free lance court reporter
12before moving to Waukegan where he was an official court
13reporter for the State of Illinois in Lake County for 30 years;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, He was a Medinah Temple Shriner for over 50 years;
16he was a Free Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite; he also
17was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose; and
 
18    WHEREAS, After his retirement, he spent his time enjoying
19many hobbies; he was an avid fisherman, enjoyed golfing,
20playing cards, and traveling; and

1    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
2brothers, Don and George; his sister-in-law, Wilma Stader; and
3his faithful companion of 19 years, a little dachshund named
4Bernie; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Stader is survived by his daughters, Nancy
6(David) Kubik and Peggy R. Stader; his sister, Barbara (Donald)
7Knapp; his former wife, Phyllis Stader; and his nieces,
8nephews, cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11his family and friends, the passing of Raymond Stader; and be
12it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Raymond Stader as a symbol of our
15sincere sympathy.
