2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Edward "Beans" Rittof, Sr. of Joliet, who |
4 | | passed away on October 19, 2011; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, He was born in Joliet to the late Michael and Anna |
6 | | (nee Gaydos) Rittof; he was a lifelong Joliet/Channahon |
7 | | resident; and
|
8 | | WHEREAS, He and his late wife owned and operated Rittof's |
9 | | Restaurant and Lounge for 26 years, retiring in 1987; he was a |
10 | | member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Channahon; he was a member |
11 | | of the United States Coast Guard and served his country during |
12 | | World War II; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 |
14 | | years, Jessie L. Rittof; his son, Frederick Rittof; his |
15 | | brothers, Jack Rittof, Michael Rittof, Steve Rittof, and |
16 | | Leonard Rittof; his sisters, Ann Grenchick, Pauline Suca, |
17 | | Margaret Suca, Mary Seeley-Derlinga, Josephine |
18 | | Lyons-Grenchick, Lucile Bajt, and Rose Rittof; and several |
19 | | brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and

20 | | WHEREAS, Edward "Beans" Rittof, Sr. is survived by his |
21 | | sons, Edward (Brenda) Rittof, Jr., Paul (Pamela) Rittof, and |
