SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joseph "Joe" J. Szczeblewski of DuQuoin,
4who passed away on October 31, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born March 30, 1922, in Tamaroa, a son to
6John and Dorothy (Kaucharski) Szczeblewski; on February 22,
71943, he married Cecil Stanhouse in Radom; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in
9DuQuoin, had worked for Missouri Pacific Railways, retiring
10after 30 years, and had farmed all of his life; and
 
11    WHEREAS, He enjoyed fishing, pinochle, and listening to
12Cardinals games on the radio, but he dearly loved spending time
13with his family on Sunday afternoons at his son Jim's house;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; his
16son-in-law, David Dawson; and his brothers, Ray Szczeblewski
17and one in infancy; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Joseph Szczeblewski is survived by his wife of 68
19years, Cecil Stanhouse; his children, Gretchen Dawson, Gary
20Szczeblewski, Jim ("Trish") Szczeblewski, Mike (Krista)

1Szczeblewski, Tony Szczeblewski, Beth (Mike) Styve, and Nancy
2Szczeblewski (Charlie Cross); his sisters, Virginia Wisnewski
3and Mildred Fisher; his grandchildren, David, Tina (John),
4Marcy (Jason), Chad (Afton), Ashleigh, Michael, Kyle, Kaitlyn,
5and Skyler; his great-grandchildren, John, William, Matthew,
6Ryder, Jaycie, and Callie; and numerous nieces, nephews,
7cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10his family and friends, the passing of Joseph Szczeblewski; and
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Joseph Szczeblewski as a symbol of
14our sincere sympathy.
