AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3246




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3246 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:


 
 
4    "Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended  by 
5changing Section 5-5.20 as follows:
 



6    (305 ILCS 5/5-5.20)



7    Sec. 5-5.20. Clinic payments. For services provided by 
8federally
qualified health centers as defined in Section 1905 
9(l)(2)(B) of the federal
Social Security Act, on or after April 
101, 1989, and as long as required by
federal law, the Illinois 
11Department shall
reimburse those health centers for those 
12services according to a prospective
cost-reimbursement 
13methodology. In addition, the Department shall reimburse 
14federally qualified health centers within the timeframes 
15required for practitioners under Section 1902(a)(37) of the 
16federal Social Security Act.

2    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
