2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1948 by replacing |
3 | | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4 | | "Section 5. The Children's Health Insurance Program Act is |
5 | | amended by adding Section 65 as follows: |
6 | | (215 ILCS 106/65 new) |
7 | | Sec. 65. Provider incentives. Subject to appropriations, |
8 | | beginning on July 1, 2011,
the Department shall develop |
9 | | incentive programs for dentists
who perform dental services on |
10 | | children covered under this Act.
The incentive programs shall |
11 | | include a pilot program in a rural and urban
designated |
12 | | shortage area that increases rates up to 64% of the
|
13 | | reimbursement level that the dentists charge for those services |
14 | | covered.
In addition, subject to appropriations, the |
15 | | Department shall increase
the rate level of dental specialty |
16 | | services that are provided
to children covered under this Act |

1 | | to equal 64% of the dentist's usual and customary charges. |
2 | | Subject to appropriations, the Department shall also develop |
3 | | and implement an incentive
program that rewards dentists who |
4 | | are enrolled as a "dental home"
with a bonus for providing |
5 | | services to children enrolled and covered under this Act. |
6 | | Section 10. The Covering ALL KIDS Health Insurance Act is |
7 | | amended by adding Section 54 as follows: |
8 | | (215 ILCS 170/54 new) |
