| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | ||||||
| 3 | Representatives
are pleased to honor our esteemed colleague | ||||||
| 4 | Charles W. "Chuck"
Krezwick for his service as a member of the | ||||||
| 5 | Illinois General
Assembly and thank him for answering the call | ||||||
| 6 | of his community,
his State, and his nation; and | ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick was born in Chicago and | ||||||
| 8 | raised
in the south suburbs, where he and his wife, Marilyn, | ||||||
| 9 | raised their
two sons; and | ||||||
| 10 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick was called to duty as a | ||||||
| 11 | member
of the U.S. Air Force from 1965 until 1969, and has | ||||||
| 12 | remained
involved in veterans' affairs and aviation as a member | ||||||
| 13 | of
American Legion Orland Memorial Post 111, the Air Force
| ||||||
| 14 | Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the
| ||||||
| 15 | Experimental Aircraft Association; and | ||||||
| 16 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick served his community as a
| ||||||
| 17 | Calumet Park village trustee from 1973 until 1977, and as | ||||||
| 18 | acting
mayor of Calumet Park from 1979 until 1981; and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick helped to make the voice | ||||||
| 20 | of his
community heard in the federal government as a | ||||||
| 21 | legislative aide
to two U.S. Congressmen; and | ||||||

| |||||||
| 1 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick continued his efforts to | ||||||
| 2 | ensure
local residents access to government services as | ||||||
| 3 | director of
senior services for Calumet Township; and
| ||||||
| 4 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick demonstrated his | ||||||
| 5 | commitment to
education by serving his community as a | ||||||
| 6 | substitute teacher; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick answered the call to | ||||||
| 8 | service
again in 2012, filling a vacancy in the Illinois House | ||||||
| 9 | of
Representatives and ensuring that local constituents | ||||||
| 10 | continued
to receive the services and representation they | ||||||
| 11 | deserve; and
| ||||||
| 12 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick passed a law recognizing | ||||||
| 13 | his
fellow veterans by creating license plate stickers for | ||||||
| 14 | veterans,
the proceeds of which will go to charity; and
| ||||||
| 15 | WHEREAS, Representative Krezwick's military service and | ||||||
| 16 | personal
enthusiasm for amateur radio instilled in him the | ||||||
| 17 | importance of
citizen-operated radio as a means of ensuring | ||||||
| 18 | public health and
safety during an emergency; in the Illinois | ||||||
| 19 | House of
Representatives, he passed a law that helps to ensure | ||||||
| 20 | the
availability of amateur radio; and
| ||||||

| 1 | WHEREAS, All those who have had the opportunity to serve
| ||||||
| 2 | alongside Representative Krezwick appreciate his friendship | ||||||
| 3 | and
commitment to his community, his State, and his nation; | ||||||
| 4 | therefore, be it
| ||||||
| 5 | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | ||||||
| 6 | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | ||||||
| 7 | we congratulate
and thank State Representative Charles W. | ||||||
| 8 | "Chuck" Krezwick for
his dedicated service; and be it further
| ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 10 | presented to Representative Krezwick as an expression of our | ||||||
| 11 | respect and esteem, with our best wishes for his future | ||||||
| 12 | success.
