HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of  
3Representatives are pleased to honor Dr. Carl E. King, Sr. on 
4the occasion of his 25 years of dedicated service as Pastor at 
5Christ Community Church; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. has served as a minister for 
7over 30 years; he and his wife have lived in Thornton Township 
8for many years; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. has been an active member of 
10his community; he serves as chaplain for the South Holland 
11Police and Fire Departments; he serves on the South Holland 
12Education Commission and is the former president of Thornton 
13Township District 205 Board of Education; he is a past 
14president and member of the South Holland Ministerial 
15Association; his church has also sponsored the Adopt a District 
16School Learning Program; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. will celebrate his 25th 
18anniversary of service to his community with an event in his 
19honor on October 13, 2012; and

  
 
20    WHEREAS, Dr. Carl King, Sr. serves as a model of hard work, 
21integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of

1Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
3NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
4we honor Dr. Carl E. King, Sr. on the occasion of his 25 years 
5of dedicated service and wish him continued success and 
6happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
8presented to Dr. Carl E. King, Sr. as a symbol of our esteem 
9and respect.
