| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the Evergreen Park |
| 4 | | Athletic Association Senior League Baseball Team on winning the |
| 5 | | State championship; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, The EPAA Senior League Team played a taxing |
| 7 | | schedule, which included 33 games in 6 weeks, including 6 |
| 8 | | double headers, at one point playing 14 games in 12 days; they |
| 9 | | finished their summer with a record of 22-10-1, earning them a |
| 10 | | bye in the district tournament; a 10-2 win in sectionals sent |
| 11 | | them to a grueling 5-day State tournament in which they |
| 12 | | prevailed with a 9-5 win over Burbank to capture the State |
| 13 | | title; and
|
| 14 | | WHEREAS, The EPAA Senior League Team earned a trip to the |
| 15 | | regional tournament in Oglesby/Peru; they finished pool play |
| 16 | | with a 3-1 record and qualified for the regional semifinals as |
| 17 | | one of only 16 teams left in the United States; and
|
| 18 | | WHEREAS, The EPAA Senior League Team's dream of a World |
| 19 | | Series was cut short with a 7-5 loss to Michigan in the |
| 20 | | regional semifinals; and
|
| 21 | | WHEREAS, The EPAA Senior League Team should be proud of |
|

| 1 | | their season and the tremendous effort put forth by the team; |

| 3 | | WHEREAS, The Evergreen Park Athletic Association Senior |

| 5 | | Ron O'Toole, Jim Walsh, and Joe Glover; special assistant, Ken |
| 6 | | Fyrer; and players, Tim Walsh, Mark Martin, Mickey Glover, Joe |
| 7 | | Crowley, Marty Meyer, Kevin Farmer, Jack Ryan, Ron O'Toole, |
| 8 | | Mike Rizzo, Brian Paul, David Ziebarth, Frank Meisl, Dan |
| 9 | | Anzelmo, and Jon Karstrand; therefore, be it

| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 11 | | NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
