HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Dennis Adame of Boy Scout Troop 392 in Schaumburg on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Adame graduated from Conant High School on June 3, 2012; he is currently enrolled in a law enforcement program at Harper College; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Adame is currently employed at Northwest Community Hospital; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Adame served as a page for the Illinois House of Representatives in Springfield on April 6, 2011; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Adame achieved the rank of Eagle Scout on October 4, 2011; he was elected to the Order of the Arrow, Scouting's National Honor Society, and is a member in good standing of the National Eagle Scout Association; and

WHEREAS, As a Life Scout, a scout must plan, develop, and give leadership to others in a service project helpful to a religious institution, school, or community; for his service project, Dennis Adame chose to help Clearbrook in Arlington Heights, an organization that provides opportunities, services, and support to people with disabilities; his project benefited the women living in an community-integrated group home for the disabled in Rolling Meadows; the home had an existing deck that was not large enough to accommodate more than a few people and stairs which limited access to the yard; after raising a total of $2,400 in donations from Clearbrook, Home Depot, and his family and friends, he used the money to purchase material to build a new deck that was twice the size of the old deck and was wheelchair accessible; after 7 days and 330 volunteer hours from the troop, the women now have full access to their backyard and are able to entertain their friends and family; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Adame will be inducted as an Eagle Scout during his Court of Honor on August 4, 2012; and

WHEREAS, The members of this body, along with his loving parents, Kathy and Hector Adame, his other family members, and his friends, are all proud of Dennis Adame for his great accomplishment; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Dennis Adame on the occasion of attaining the coveted rank of Eagle Scout and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Dennis Adame as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
