HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Montini Broncos girls basketball team on the occasion of 
5winning the IHSA Class 3A girls basketball State championship; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The Montini Broncos defeated Vernon Hills 56-38 to 
8claim victory at the IHSA Class 3A girls basketball State 
9championship game at Redbird Arena in Bloomington; the team 
10ended the season with a phenomenal 33-5 record; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, With this victory, the Montini Broncos became the 
12third girls sports team in State history to win three State 
13titles in a row; and
  
 
14    WHEREAS, The members of the Montini Broncos girls 
15basketball team are Angela Talley, Diamond Thompson, Jasmine 
16Lumpkin, Kateri Stone, Kelly Karlis, Kelsey Bogdan, Maggie 
17O'Brien, Malayna Johnson, Nia Flowers, Nikia Edom, Rainey 
18Kuykendall, Sara Ross, and Tianna Brown; the team's head coach 
19is Jason Nichols; and

  
 
20    WHEREAS, The members of the Montini Broncos girls 
21basketball team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and

1dedication for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore,

3    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
4NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
5we congratulate the members of the Montini Broncos girls 
6basketball team on the occasion of winning the IHSA Class 3A 
7girls basketball State championship and wish them continued 
8success and happiness in the future; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the Montini Broncos girls basketball team as a 
11symbol of our esteem and respect.
