HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The Dolton Park District was established in 1927 
3as a local civic organization to encourage and make a 
4difference in the Dolton community through programming and 
5community activities; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, The Dolton Park District takes an active interest 
7in improving the general welfare and making a positive 
8difference in the quality of life for all Dolton residents; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, The Dolton Park District promotes regional 
10recreation with other communities throughout the Southland by 
11creating a shared regional identity and providing a common link 
12of interest and support; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Over the years, the Dolton Park District has 
14collaborated with local government, school districts, 
15businesses, and social service agencies to initiate a myriad of 
16programs and neighborhood events that contribute to a strong 
17and sustainable community; and

  
 
18    WHEREAS, For the past 85 years, the Dolton Park District 
19and its leadership have been influential in transforming the 
20lives of the village of Dolton and continue to be a 
21forward-thinking community entity; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
3we congratulate the employees and administration of the Dolton 
4Park District as they commemorate 85 years of service to the 
5residents of Dolton; and be it further
  
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
7presented to the Dolton Park District as a symbol of our esteem 
8and respect.
