HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Danny Seagraves as 
4he celebrates 40 years with the United States Postal Service in 
5Eldorado; and
  
 
6    WHEREAS, Danny Seagraves began his career as a mail carrier 
7and became a clerk in 1984; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, When he began working at the Eldorado Post Office 
917 people were employed there; now there are only 8 employees, 
10many only working part-time; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, In addition, he has seen the volume of mail that 
12comes through the post office decrease over the years; and

  
 
13    WHEREAS, In his 40 years working at the post office, he has 
14enjoyed his time serving the people of Eldorado; he has made 
15many friends and has accumulated a collection of interesting 
16stories; and
 
17    WHEREAS, His plans are to continue working for another year 
18before looking towards retirement; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
2we congratulate Danny Seagraves on this anniversary occasion 
3and wish him continued success in the future; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to Danny Seagraves as a symbol of our respect and 
6esteem.
