HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Coach Wilbert 
4Walters and the Aurora Sundowners Track Club as August 28, 2011 
5is proclaimed Coach Wilbert Walters Day in the City of Aurora; 
6and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, The key mission of Coach Wilbert Walters and the 
8Aurora Sundowners Track Club is to provide the youth of the Fox 
9Valley area with an opportunity to enhance track skills and 
10build character through competition; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Coach Walters has taught athletes, both male and 
12female, the necessary skills to participate at the competitive 
13level; he creates an environment which fosters personal growth 
14and allows club members to develop life-coping skills; in the 
15past 42 years, he has shown himself to be an amazing community 
16leader and educator; and
  
 
17    WHEREAS, Together with the Aurora Sundowners Track Club, 
18Coach Walters has promoted good work ethics; club members 
19discover and learn patience and punctuality; they grow and 
20learn to be honest, as well as other important characteristics; 
21and

1    WHEREAS, Coach Walters has made it his lifelong commitment 
2to help the youth of the Fox Valley area and make them healthy, 
3productive, and valued members of the community, all while 
4building character and extraordinary relationships; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, The City of Aurora will proclaim August 28, 2011 
6as Coach Wilbert Walters Day; therefore, be it
  
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
8NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate Coach Wilbert Walters and wish him continued 
10success and happiness for years to come; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to Coach Wilbert Walters as a symbol of our respect 
13and esteem.
