HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate Fr. David Hoefler 
4of Blessed Sacrament Parish in Springfield on his new 
5assignment as Pastor of St. Anthony Parish, Sacred Heart Parish 
6in Effingham, and Annunciation Parish in Shumway; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Fr. David Hoefler was selected to serve as the 
8parochial vicar of Blessed Sacrament Parish in 2002; he was 
9subsequently selected to serve as pastor of the parish in 2005; 
10and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Under Fr. David Hoefler's guidance, Blessed 
12Sacrament Parish undertook a $5.4 million fundraising campaign 
13to build a new gymnasium, library, preschool classrooms, and 
14office wing at the parish; these additions are to be dedicated 
15in August of 2011; and

  
 
16    WHEREAS, Fr. David Hoefler serves as a model of hard work, 
17integrity, and dedication for the people of the State of 
18Illinois; therefore, be it
  
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
21we congratulate Fr. David Hoefler on his new assignment as

1Pastor of St. Anthony Parish, Sacred Heart Parish in Effingham, 
2and Annunciation Parish in Shumway and thank him for his years 
3of loving service, leadership, and friendship in his community;

5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to Fr. David Hoefler as a symbol of our esteem and 
7respect.
