HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Milton R.
4Faurot of Punta Gorda, Florida, who passed away on April 26,
52011; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Milton Faurot was born on June 22, 1931; after
7graduating from high school, he honorably served in the United
8States Navy aboard the USS Tidewater and USS Guyat; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Milton Faurot married Marjorie Fischhabor on June
1028, 1958; they spent the next 52 years together; and
 
11    WHEREAS, In 1974, Milton Faurot moved his family to
12Illinois, settling in Lake Zurich; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Milton Faurot served as a Trustee in Lake Zurich
14from 1979 to 1991; he took an active role in the residential
15development and commercial development of the Village, which
16led to the growth in population and businesses along Routes 12
17and 22; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Milton Faurot was the Village Administrator for
19the Village of Lake in the Hills until he was forced to retire
20as a result of health concerns; and

1    WHEREAS, Under the direction of Milton Faurot, the Village
2of Lake in the Hills constructed a new Village Hall and began
3its growth in population and business development; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Milton Faurot eventually retired to Punta Gorda,
5Florida, where he continued to serve his neighbors and friends
6as the Burnt Store Colony Association President; and
 
7    WHEREAS, During his tenure as Association President,
8Milton Faurot oversaw the construction of both a
9hurricane-proof recreation center and a wastewater treatment
10plant; and
 
11    WHEREAS, In 2004, multiple hurricanes struck Punta Gorda,
12including Hurricane Charlie on August 13; during the hurricane,
13Milton Faurot refused to leave Burnt Store Colony, instead
14staying to see after the safety of more seasoned residents who
15could not leave; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Milton Faurot is survived by his wife, Marjorie;
17his sons, David and Darold; and his daughter, Bethann; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Milton Faurot will be remembered by all who knew
19and loved him as a man of decency, modesty, integrity, and
20concern for those around him; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
2NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
3we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of
4Milton R. Faurot; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Milton Faurot as an expression of
7our sympathy.
