HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the 
4Bolingbrook High School Girls Basketball Team on the occasion 
5of their victory at the Illinois High School Association Class 
64A State Championship on March 5, 2011; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Bolingbrook defeated Zion-Benton with a final 
8score of 71-42 to secure the title; the team's victory marked 
9the third straight state championship for the Lady Raiders; and
  
 
10    WHEREAS, ESPN Hoopgurlz ranked the Lady Raiders the number 
11two team in the country; USA Today ranked the Lady Raiders 
12number two in the country because of their winning efforts; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders finished the season with a record 
14of 29-2; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, The Bolingbrook Lady Raiders include Kennedy 
16Cattenhead, Nia Moore, Annaya Moore, Cherell Hill, DaLacy 
17Anderson, Taylor Tuck, Ariel Massengale, Falon Edwards, Kierra 
18Ray, Allie Hill, Charosnese Williams, Morgan Tuck, and Cabriana 
19Capers; and
  
 
20    WHEREAS, The Lady Raiders are led by head coach Tony Smith;

1the assistant coaches are Jenee' Graham, Carter Larry, and 
2Aaron Woods; the team manager is Lanise Branch; therefore, be

4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
5NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
6we congratulate the Bolingbrook High School Lady Raiders girls 
7basketball team on becoming the 2011 IHSA Class 4A Girls 
8Basketball Champions, applaud them for their class and 
9professionalism, and wish the team well in their future 
10endeavors; and be it further
  
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
12presented to the Lady Raiders as an expression of our respect 
13and esteem.
