2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
Robert |
4 | | Nale; and

5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Nale was born in Pittsburgh, where he |
6 | | launched a 31-year career as a sales manager for the |
7 | | Harbison-Walker Refractories Company; forty years ago, he was |
8 | | transferred to Illinois and settled in the Southland, where he |
9 | | continued to live after his retirement; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Robert Nale was well known as a tireless advocate |
11 | | for education reform in Rich Township High School District 227; |
12 | | he was the founder of the Cape Communicator, a newsletter he |
13 | | spent countless hours producing; the newsletter examined and |
14 | | reported on educational policy, governance, and performance in |
15 | | the local high school district; he argued passionately in favor |
16 | | of Southland College Prep Charter High School and was widely |
17 | | recognized as a passionate community leader and volunteer; Mr. |
18 | | Nale provided advice to numerous community organizations and |
19 | | committees in the Village of Olympia Fields; and
|
20 | | WHEREAS, Robert Nale had a lifelong passion for archaeology |
21 | | and was a member of the South Suburban Archaeological Society; |
