1    AN ACT concerning higher education.

 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
3represented in the General Assembly:


 
4    Section 5. The University of Illinois Act is amended  by 
5adding Section 80 as follows:
 
6    (110 ILCS 305/80  new)
7    Sec. 80. Search committee funding prohibition. Hiring 
8search committees are prohibited from being funded with money 
9derived from State taxes or tuition or fees charged students.
 
10    Section 10. The Southern Illinois University Management 
11Act is amended  by adding Section 65 as follows:
 
12    (110 ILCS 520/65  new)
13    Sec. 65. Search committee funding prohibition. Hiring 
14search committees are prohibited from being funded with money 
15derived from State taxes or tuition or fees charged students.
 
16    Section 15. The Chicago State University Law is amended  by 
17adding Section 5-175 as follows:
 
18    (110 ILCS 660/5-175  new)
19    Sec. 5-175. Search committee funding prohibition. Hiring

3    Section 20. The Eastern Illinois University Law is amended  
4by adding Section 10-175 as follows:

6    Sec. 10-175. Search committee funding prohibition. Hiring 
7search committees are prohibited from being funded with money 
8derived from State taxes or tuition or fees charged students.
 
9    Section 25. The Governors State University Law is amended  
10by adding Section 15-175 as follows:

12    Sec. 15-175. Search committee funding prohibition. Hiring 
13search committees are prohibited from being funded with money 
14derived from State taxes or tuition or fees charged students.
 
15    Section 30. The Illinois State University Law is amended  by 
16adding Section 20-180 as follows:

13    Section 45. The Western Illinois University Law is amended
