| 1 | | AN ACT concerning public employee benefits.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 9-119.1 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (40 ILCS 5/9-119.1 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 9-119.1. Earned annuity. "Earned annuity": (1) The |
| 8 | | annuity a participant has accrued as provided in Section 9-134, |
| 9 | | disregarding minimum age and service eligibility requirements |
| 10 | | and without any reduction due to age, or (2) the age and |
| 11 | | service annuity as provided in Sections 9-125 through 9-128, |
| 12 | | inclusive.

| 13 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 14 | | becoming law.
