Amends the Election Code. Provides that an election authority shall, at least 46 days (now, 45 days) prior to the date of the primary election, have a sufficient number of ballots printed so that the ballots will be available for mailing 45 days prior to the primary election. Effective immediately.

|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing Section |
| 5 | | 7-16 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (10 ILCS 5/7-16) (from Ch. 46, par. 7-16)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 7-16.
Each election authority in each county
shall |
| 8 | | prepare and cause to be printed the primary ballot of each
|
| 9 | | political party for each precinct in the election authority's |
| 10 | | his respective jurisdiction.
|
| 11 | | The election authority shall, at least 46 45 days prior to |
| 12 | | the date of the primary

ballots will be available for |

primary election to persons who |
