| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Nursing Home Care Act is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 2-106a as follows:
|
| 6 | | (210 ILCS 45/2-106a)

| 7 | | Sec. 2-106a. Resident identification wristlet. No |
| 8 | | identification
wristlets shall be employed except as ordered by |
| 9 | | a physician who documents the
need for such mandatory |
| 10 | | identification in the resident's clinical record. When
|
| 11 | | identification bracelets are required, they must identify the |
| 12 | | resident's name,
and the name, telephone number, and address of |
| 13 | | the facility issuing the identification wristlet.
