Amends the Department of Central Management Services Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that all State-owned vehicles that were reported in the Performance Audit of the Department of Central Management Services' Operation of the State Vehicles Fleet released by the Office of the Auditor General in November 2011 to have been driven 7,000 miles or less in Fiscal Year 2010 or that have an odometer reading of 7,000 miles or less are deemed surplus and shall be sold using a competitive sealed bid method of sale on or before July 1, 2012. Provides that proceeds from the sale of those vehicles shall be deposited into the General Revenue Fund. Effective July 1, 2012.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

4 | | Section 5. The Department of Central Management Services |
5 | | Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by |
6 | | adding Section 405-282 as follows: |
7 | | (20 ILCS 405/405-282 new) |
8 | | Sec. 405-282. Sale of State vehicles. Notwithstanding any |
9 | | other provision of law to the contrary, all State-owned |
10 | | vehicles that were reported in the Performance Audit of the |
11 | | Department of Central Management Services' Operation of the |
12 | | State Vehicles Fleet released by the Office of the Auditor |
13 | | General in November 2011 to have been driven 7,000 miles or |
14 | | less in Fiscal Year 2010 or that have an odometer reading of |
15 | | 7,000 miles or less are deemed surplus and shall be sold using |
16 | | a competitive sealed bid method of sale on or before July 1, |
17 | | 2012. Proceeds from the sale of those vehicles shall be |
