| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Pension Code is amended by changing |
| 5 | | Section 8-101 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 8-101. Creation of fund.

| 8 | | In each city of more than 500,000 inhabitants a Municipal |

Officers', and
and Officials' Annuity and Benefit |
| 10 | | Fund shall be created, set
apart, maintained and administered, |
| 11 | | in the manner prescribed in this
Article, for the benefit of |
| 12 | | the employees, officers and officials herein
designated, and |
| 13 | | their beneficiaries. |
