SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

735 ILCS 30/25-5-30 new

Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Provides that quick-take proceedings may be used for a period of no longer than one year from the effective date by LaSalle County for the acquisition of land for the purpose of building roadways or other public improvements to serve LaSalle County. Effective immediately.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding Section 25-5-30 as follows:

Sec. 25-5-30. Quick Take; LaSalle County. Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used for a period of no longer than one year from the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 97th General Assembly by LaSalle County for the acquisition of the following described property for the purpose of building roadways or other public improvements to serve LaSalle County: Parcel 2

A part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 23, Township 35 North, Range 4 East of the Third Principal Meridian, LaSalle County, Illinois, described as follows, using bearings and grid distances referenced to the Illinois State Plane Coordinate System, East Zone, NAD 83(97 ADJ):

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
