SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

735 ILCS 30/25-5-30 new

Amends the Eminent Domain Act. Provides that quick-take proceedings may be used for a period of no longer than one year from the effective date by LaSalle County for the acquisition of land for the purpose of a highway bridge project and other public improvements to serve LaSalle County. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning civil law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Eminent Domain Act is amended by adding Section 25-5-30 as follows:

Sec. 25-5-30. Quick Take; LaSalle County. Quick-take proceedings under Article 20 may be used for a period of no longer than one year from the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 97th General Assembly by LaSalle County for the acquisition of the following described property for the purpose of a highway bridge project on Highway 13 and other public improvements to serve LaSalle County: PARCEL NUMBER 3VL0003: That part of the South Half of Section 23, Township 34 North, Range 1 East of the Third Principal Meridian, LaSalle County, State of Illinois, described as follows using bearings referenced to an assumed North: Commencing at a pipe at the northeast corner of the Southeast Quarter of said Section 23; thence South 89 degrees 41 minutes 47 seconds West, 375.75 feet on the north line of said Southeast Quarter, to the westerly existing public roadway designated F.A.S. Route 260 (CH 13), (See plat of S.A. Route No. 13, recorded March 26, 1957 in Plat Book V, Page 36, as Document No. 444798 in the Recorder's Office of LaSalle County, State of Illinois); thence South 4 degrees 55 minutes 37 seconds West, 168.26 feet on the westerly right of way line of said public road, to the Point of Beginning. Route 260 (CH 13), (See plat of S.A. Route No. 13, recorded March 26, 1957 in Plat Book V, Page 36, as Document No. 444798 in the Recorder's Office of LaSalle County, State of Illinois) and the Point of Beginning. Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
