6 | | The Task Force may call upon experts to provide additional |
7 | | information and testimony. |
8 | | (d) The Task Force shall make recommendations for school |
9 | | district responses to anaphylaxis emergencies that occur at |
10 | | school or at school-sponsored activities in such cases where |
11 | | (i) a student's prescribed epinephrine auto-injector is not |
12 | | available when the emergency occurs or (ii) an undiagnosed |
13 | | student is showing life-threatening symptoms of anaphylaxis. |
14 | | In addition, the Task Force shall gather information and make |
15 | | recommendations concerning the permissible storage of |
16 | | emergency epinephrine auto-injectors in a school building. |
17 | | (e) Members of the Task Force shall serve without |
18 | | compensation. |
19 | | (f) The Task Force shall submit a report to the General |
20 | | Assembly no later than 18 months after the effective date of |
21 | | this amendatory Act of the 97th General Assembly. |
22 | | (g) The Department of Public Health shall, with the |
23 | | assistance of the State Board of Education, provide staff and |
24 | | support and is responsible for the administration of the Task |
25 | | Force.
