Amends the Department of Veterans Affairs Act. Requires the Department of Veterans' Affairs to establish and administer a program to ensure that female veterans receive breast and cervical cancer screenings as they transition to civilian life. Provides that the program shall be subject to appropriation and that the Department shall establish eligibility requirements by rule.

2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Department of Veterans Affairs Act is |
5 | | amended by adding Section 38 as follows: |
6 | | (20 ILCS 2805/38 new) |
7 | | Sec. 38. Breast and cervical cancer screening program. |
8 | | Subject to appropriation, the Department shall establish and |
9 | | administer a program to ensure that female veterans receive |
10 | | breast and cervical cancer screenings as they transition to |
11 | | civilian life. The Department shall establish eligibility |
12 | | requirements by rule and shall adopt any other rules necessary |
13 | | to implement and operate the program established under this |
14 | | Section.
