| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Agriculture Law of the Civil |
| 5 | | Administrative
Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section |
| 6 | | 205-455 as follows:
|
| 7 | | (20 ILCS 205/205-455 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 205-455. Department website. To maximize the economic |
| 9 | | development of the State's agricultural industry, the |
| 10 | | Department of Agriculture's Internet website shall include a |
| 11 | | page that allows individuals to request information from the |
| 12 | | Department and to ascertain what available services offered by |
| 13 | | the Department may be utilized for an individual's agricultural |
| 14 | | operation. Department personnel, through the website, shall |
| 15 | | assist in providing farming operations and agricultural |
| 16 | | businesses, both large and small, with customized government |
| 17 | | assistance in an expedited fashion. The website shall allow |
| 18 | | farmers to provide information on their operations and goals, |
| 19 | | and it shall allow farmers to explain what they would like the |
| 20 | | Department to do to assist them in their efforts.

| 21 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 22 | | becoming law.
