1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by |
5 | | changing Section 2 as follows:
|

The ability of the constantly increasing number of aged |
9 | | in the State to
maintain self-sufficiency and personal |
10 | | well-being with the dignity to which
their years of labor |
11 | | entitle them and to realize their maximum potential as
creative |
12 | | and productive individuals are matters of profound import and
|
13 | | concern for all of the people of this State. |
14 | | The purposes of this Act are to provide a comprehensive and |
15 | | coordinated
service system for the State's aging population, |
16 | | giving high priority to
those persons in greatest need; to |
17 | | conduct studies and research into the
needs and problems of the |
18 | | aging; and to insure participation by the aging
in the planning |
19 | | and operation of all phases of the system.
