| 1 | | AN ACT concerning gaming.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Horse Racing Act of 1975 is amended |
| 5 | | by changing Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (230 ILCS 5/2) (from Ch. 8, par. 37-2)

| 7 | | Sec. 2.
There is hereby created and established an
Illinois |
| 8 | | Racing Board which shall have the the powers and duties |
| 9 | | specified
in this Act, and also the powers necessary and proper |
| 10 | | to enable it to
fully and effectively execute all the |
| 11 | | provisions and purposes of this Act.
The jurisdiction, |
| 12 | | supervision, powers, and duties of the Board shall
extend under |
| 13 | | this Act to every person who holds or conducts any meeting |
| 14 | | within
the State of Illinois
where horse racing is permitted |
| 15 | | for any stake, purse or reward.
