Amends the Illinois Refrigerated Warehouses Act. Provides that the licensing cycle shall be the same as the State fiscal year.

| 1 | | AN ACT concerning warehouses.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Refrigerated Warehouses Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 2 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (240 ILCS 35/2) (from Ch. 56 1/2, par. 79.2)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 2.
No person, firm or corporation shall maintain or |
| 8 | | operate a
refrigerated warehouse without a license to do so |
| 9 | | issued by the
Department. Any person, firm or corporation |
| 10 | | desiring such a license
shall make written application to the |
| 11 | | Department for that purpose,
stating the location of the |
| 12 | | refrigerated warehouse. The Director or his
agents thereupon |
| 13 | | shall make an examination of the refrigerated warehouse
and, if |
| 14 | | it is in a proper sanitary condition and otherwise properly
|
| 15 | | equipped for its intended use, he shall issue a license |
| 16 | | authorizing the
applicant to operate it as a refrigerated |
| 17 | | warehouse for one year. The
licensing cycle shall be the same |
| 18 | | as the State fiscal year and a license shall be issued upon |
| 19 | | payment by the applicant of a license fee
of $50 per annum to |
| 20 | | the Department.

| 21 | | Any license issued under the provisions of the Act herein |
| 22 | | repealed
that is valid immediately prior to the time this Act |
| 23 | | takes effect shall
be considered as a license issued under the |
