|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 4 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 105/4) (from Ch. 23, par. 6104)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 4.
|
| 8 | | There is created the
the Department on Aging. The Director |
| 9 | | of the Department
on Aging, in conjunction with the Director of |
| 10 | | the Department of Public Aid
shall prepare and implement a plan |
| 11 | | to transfer all personnel, materials,
books, records, |
| 12 | | appropriations and equipment related to "Services to Older
|
| 13 | | People" in the Department of Public Aid as described in Article |
| 14 | | VIII of,
"The Illinois Public Aid Code", to the Department on |
| 15 | | Aging by the effective
date of this Act. The Department on |
| 16 | | Aging shall administer programs related
to "Services to Older |
| 17 | | People", described in Article VIII of, "The Illinois
Public Aid |
| 18 | | Code", on the effective date of this Act. |
| 19 | | Upon the effective date of this Act, the Department on |
| 20 | | Aging shall be
the single State agency for receiving and |
| 21 | | disbursing federal funds made
available under the "Older |
| 22 | | Americans Act".
