Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Probate Act of 1975. Makes a technical change to a Section concerning guardians.

Adds reference to:
755 ILCS 5/11a-10from Ch. 110 1/2, par. 11a-10

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Probate Act. Adds the public guardian (currently the Office of the State Guardian, elder abuse provider agency, and the Department of Human Services Office of Inspector General) to the parties whose guardian ad litem and appointed counsel fees are waived.

Adds reference to:
755 ILCS 5/Art. XXVI heading
755 ILCS 5/26-3 new

Further amends the Probate Act of 1975. Modifies the title of an Article heading to Appeals and Post-Judgment Motions (instead of Appeals). Provides that unless stayed by the court, an order adjudicating a person disabled and appointing a plenary, limited, or successor guardian pursuant to this Act shall not be suspended or stayed pending the resolution of any post-judgment motion. Effective immediately.
