Amends the Alternate Fuels Act. Makes a technical change in the purpose Section.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1

	Deletes reference to:

	Adds reference to:
	415 ILCS 120/30

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Alternate Fuels Act. Authorizes the Environmental Protection Agency, in fiscal year 2012 and in each fiscal year thereafter, to make a grant to a not-for-profit car-sharing organization. Specifies how those grant funds may be used. Effective immediately.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Reinserts the provisions of the bill, as amended by Senate Amendment No. 1, with changes. Authorizes the Environmental Protection Agency, through fiscal year 2013, to make grants to car sharing organizations in Illinois for the purchase of electric vehicles. Specifies requirements for grant applications. Specifies amounts the Agency may award in grants, as well as information that is to be considered by the Agency when making these grants. Places limitations on the use of these grant funds. Requires grantees to report certain information to the Agency within one year after receiving a grant. Requires, subject to certain exceptions, vehicles purchased in Illinois under this grant program to remain in the State for at least 5 years. Effective immediately.
