Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Motor Fuel Sales Act. Provides that gasoline stations and service stations must provide a minimum of one fueling site with a calling device that allows the disabled operator of a motor vehicle to request refueling assistance; sets forth minimum specifications for such a calling device. Provides that gasoline stations and service stations also must let patrons know, through appropriate signs, that customers with disabilities can obtain refueling assistance by using the calling device (instead of by either honking or otherwise signaling an employee).

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that there shall be a minimum of 2 calling devices, one on each side of a fueling site, instead of one. Provides that signs shall designate hours of service letting patrons know the times that customers with disabilities can obtain refueling assistance by using the calling device.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 2
Provides, in a provision outlining minimum specifications for a calling device allowing the disabled operator of a motor vehicle to request refueling assistance, that the calling device must display the telephone number of the gasoline station or service station.
