Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Code of Civil Procedure. Repeals provisions of the Code comprising the existing Uniform Foreign Money-Judgments Recognition Act, and adds provisions to the Code creating the Uniform Foreign-Country Money Judgments Recognition Act recommended by the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws. Includes provisions concerning: applicability; standards for recognition of a foreign-country judgment; jurisdiction; procedure; the effect of recognition of a foreign-country judgment; stays; limitations; interpretation; savings; and other matters.
