Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the use of force in defense of a person.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Open Parole Hearings Act. Defines "victim" to include any person legally related to the victim by blood, marriage, adoption, or guardianship, or any friend of the victim, or any concerned citizen. Provides that victim impact statements either oral, written, video-taped, tape recorded or made by other electronic means (rather than only written statements) shall not be considered public documents under provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. Effective immediately.
