Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Attorney General Act. Makes a technical change in the Section concerning the short title of the Act.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
15 ILCS 205/0.01
Adds reference to:
740 ILCS 175/4from Ch. 127, par. 4104

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois False Claims Act. Provides that certain false claim actions must, unless opposed by the State, be dismissed by the court if substantially the same allegations or transactions as alleged in the action were publicly disclosed. Redefines "original source". Provides that a civil action for relief from retaliatory actions may not be brought more than 3 years after the date when the retaliation occurred.
