Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning county board elections.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
55 ILCS 5/2-3002.5
Adds reference to:
55 ILCS 5/4-2002from Ch. 34, par. 4-2002

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Counties Code. Provides that a municipality shall be entitled to a $25 prosecution fee for each violation of (i) the Illinois Vehicle Code prosecuted by the municipal attorney, (ii) a municipal vehicle ordinance, or (iii) a nontraffic ordinance which "results in a finding of guilt" (instead of "is tried") before a circuit or associate judge "or in which a defendant has stipulated to the facts supporting the charge or a finding of guilt and the court has entered an order of supervision". Further provides that the fee shall be taxed as costs to be collected from the defendant upon disposition of the case (now, upon conviction). Effective immediately.
