Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Counties Code. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning board meetings.

House Floor Amendment No. 1

	Deletes reference to:
	55 ILCS 5/2-1001

	Adds reference to:
	55 ILCS 5/5-1133 new

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Counties Code. Provides that certain counties with a population of more than 600,000 may collect a reasonable administrative tow fee that shall be deposited into the county's general fund for payment of costs incurred by the sheriff in towing a vehicle. Effective immediately.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Provides that a county with a population of more than 500,000 (instead of 600,000) may collect administrative tow fees.

Senate Floor Amendment No. 2
Further amends the Counties Code. Provides that an administrative tow fee does not have to be collected by the towing company, and if the vehicle is abandoned, then the towing company is not responsible for paying the tow fee to the county.
