Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Health Finance Reform Act. Provides that claims and encounter data required to be submitted by hospitals and ambulatory surgical treatment centers shall state the percentage of claims and encounter data that is attributable to administrative costs and provide an explanation of all assumptions and factors used to calculate such percentages.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Health Finance Reform Act. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall make available on its website the Hospital Report Card Act. Contains provisions regarding the purposes of the Hospital Report Card Act and the Consumer Guide to Health Care and the Hospital Report Card Act. Provides that the links to the Consumer Guide to Health Care and the Hospital Report Card Act on the Department's website shall include a brief description of the information available in both. Provides that specified information on the Department's website shall refer to the Consumer Guide to Health Care and the Hospital Report Card Act when it is relevant and appropriate.
