Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that if "any portion" of a property that is the subject of an annexation agreement is located more than 1.5 miles from the corporate boundaries of the annexing municipality, that property is subject to the ordinances, control, and jurisdiction of the annexing municipality unless the county board retains jurisdiction by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of its members. Effective immediately.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that except for specific property, if any property or any portion of a property that is located more than 1.5 miles from a municipality's corporate limits in a county where the county board has voted to maintain the ordinances, control, and jurisdiction of the property by a 2/3 affirmative vote, then that property is subject to the ordinances, control, and jurisdiction of the county. Effective immediately.
