Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, the Illinois Pension Code, the Metropolitan Transit Authority Act, and the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Beginning on the effective date of the amendatory Act, eliminates compensation and pension and group insurance benefits for members of the Regional Transportation Authority Board, Suburban Bus Board, Commuter Rail Board, and Chicago Transit Authority Board. Effective immediately.

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the State Employees Group Insurance Act of 1971, the Illinois Pension Code, and the Regional Transportation Authority Act. Causes the term of office of each member of the Commuter Rail Board serving on the effective date of the amendatory Act to end on the effective date of the amendatory Act. Sets forth the appointment of the new members of the Commuter Rail Board. Provides that members of the Commuter Rail Board appointed or reappointed on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act shall not receive a salary, pension, or group insurance benefits. Effective immediately.
