Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the School Code. Increases from $50 to $250 the maximum fee that a school district may charge to a student who participates in a driver education course.

House Committee Amendment No. 1
Provides that before a school district may increase the fee charged a student who participates in a driver education course, the school board must list the fee increase as an item for discussion at a regularly scheduled school board meeting.

House Floor Amendment No. 2
Adds a July 1, 2012 effective date.
