Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Local Governmental Acceptance of Credit Cards Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning liability of local governmental employees.

House Floor Amendment No. 1
Deletes reference to:
50 ILCS 345/35
Adds reference to:
20 ILCS 2605/2605-90
50 ILCS 705/10.11

Replaces everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois and the Illinois Police Training Act. Provides that the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board shall develop a process for waiver applications for officers whose prior training and experience as homicide investigators may qualify them for a waiver. Further provides that the Board may issue a waiver at its discretion, based solely on the prior training and experience of an officer as a homicide investigator. Effective January 1, 2012.

Senate Committee Amendment No. 1
Further amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Director of the Department of State Police, instead of the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board, shall develop a process for waiver applications for qualified State police officers to act as death and homicide investigators and may grant waivers.
