1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION
|
2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of Lieutenant Randall R. Kramp of Aurora and |
4 | | a proud member of the Aurora Fire Department, who recently |
5 | | passed away; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Randall graduated from East Aurora High School in |
7 | | 1985 and from Lewis University in 1990; although he enjoyed his |
8 | | employment at the Aurora Airport in aviation maintenance, his |
9 | | proudest accomplishment was joining the Aurora Fire Department |
10 | | in 1994; he was the sixth man in three generations of his |
11 | | family to serve; he was also a paramedic and a member of the |
12 | | Scuba Rescue Team; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Boy Scouts always played an important role in his |
14 | | life, giving him his love and respect for the outdoors and |
15 | | camping; he was an Eagle Scout and had recently received a |
16 | | District Merit Award; he was active in Scouts his entire life; |
17 | | and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Randy's childhood dream of owning cool lawnmowers |
19 | | (some dreams are smaller than others) came true when he started |
20 | | a part-time lawn mowing service; another dream of his was to |
21 | | fly and he made that come true when he earned his private |
22 | | pilot's license; and |
|

1 | | WHEREAS, He married Ruth Stammer, on April 6, 2002; they |
2 | | made their home in Aurora but their favorite place to spend |
3 | | time together was at their 'piece of heaven' in Wisconsin; |
4 | | although life did not allow them time to build a cabin, the |
5 | | plans they made around the campfire or floating on their boat |
6 | | are happy memories for Ruth; he was an active member of St. |
7 | | Rita of Cascia Church, the Phoenix Club, and the Aurora |
8 | | Firefighters Local 99; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph |
10 | | Kramp; and his nephew, Christopher Hankes; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, He leaves to mourn him, yet cherish his memory, |
12 | | his loving wife and best friend, Ruth; his mother, Alice Kramp; |
13 | | his sisters, Tari (Scott) Hankes, Barb (Stan) Myers, and Linda |
14 | | (Chuck) Leese; his in-laws, Francis and Rose Marie Stammer; |
15 | | Ruth's siblings, Mary "Francie" (Ron) Smart, Janni (Mike Young) |
16 | | Stammer, Don (Debra) Stammer, Julie (Richard) Smith, Lori |
17 | | (Dennis) Hahn, and Patrick (Yasmine) Stammer; his beloved |
18 | | nieces and nephews, Kayte Hankes, Kelly Michael, and Noah |
19 | | Myers, Morgan Leese, April, Tony, and Patrick Stammer, John |
20 | | Smart, Samantha Young, and Joseph, Ellie, and David Hahn; and |
21 | | his closest friends, Chris (who he met in grade school) and |
22 | | Karen Mang, Brad and Janice Westrom, and Chris and Lisa Oros; |
23 | | therefore, be it

1 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL |
2 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with |
3 | | his family, friends, and colleagues, the passing of Randall |
4 | | Kramp; and be it further

5 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
6 | | presented to the family of Randall Kramp as a symbol of our |
7 | | sincere sympathy.
