| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 |
| learn of the death of Aida M. Guss (nee, Capozzoli) of |
4 |
| Palatine, who passed away on February 18, 2010; and
|
5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born December 19, 1936, in Des Plaines; |
6 |
| she was a devout Catholic and went to daily Mass at St. Theresa |
7 |
| Catholic Church; and
|
8 |
| WHEREAS, She was a seamstress for the Little Sisters of the |
9 |
| Poor for over 40 years at St. Joseph Home for the Elderly; she |
10 |
| was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother; her family was |
11 |
| everything to her; and
|
12 |
| WHEREAS, Her husband was the former Palatine Village |
13 |
| President; the couple owned the Village Cobbler Shoe Store in |
14 |
| Palatine, and a second location in Barrington; and
|
15 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert |
16 |
| J. Guss Jr.; her parents, Louis and Amelia (nee Mazzuca) |
17 |
| Capozzoli; and her brothers Joseph (the late Margaret) and |
18 |
| Louis Capozzoli; and
|
19 |
| WHEREAS, Aida Guss is survived by her children, Robert J. |
20 |
| III (Amber) Guss, Daniel M. (Karen) Guss, David L. (Cheryl) |
