SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Carol A. Aupperle of Morton, who passed
4 away on July 23, 2009; and
 
5     WHEREAS, She was born October 13, 1934, in Pekin to Louis
6 and Lillian (Schreck) Friedinger; she married Kenneth W.
7 Aupperle on August 7, 1955, in Pekin; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Carol began her work career at Reuling Department
9 Store in Pekin; she then worked at and retired from William
10 Aupperle & Sons in Morton; her best job was being a loving
11 wife, mother, and grandmother; she was most famous for her
12 chocolate chip cookies; and
 
13     WHEREAS, She was a longtime member of the Morton United
14 Methodist Church and a member of the Hannah Circle; she greatly
15 enjoyed traveling with her husband, family, and friends,
16 especially on their 50th wedding anniversary cruise; she loved
17 gardening, spending time with friends, and enjoyed doing cross
18 stitch; and
 
19     WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and two
20 brothers, Louis Friedinger Jr. and Martin Friedinger; and

1     WHEREAS, Carol Aupperle is survived by her husband; her
2 four children, Bruce (Debbie) Aupperle, Lori (Earl) Waughop,
3 Lisa (Greg) Stone, and Lynn (Garlan) Guthrie; her five
4 grandchildren; and her two sisters, Jean Bomhold and Mary
5 (George) Connett; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 her family and friends, the passing of Carol Aupperle; and be
9 it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Carol Aupperle as a symbol of our
12 sincere sympathy.
